Template 04 · Construction & Industrial

Written for the person
compiling a tender list.

Nobody browses a construction website. A quantity surveyor arrives with one question — have they built something my size, and can they prove it — and leaves in ninety seconds either way. Everything here is arranged to answer that.

◆ Filterable project index◆ Real contract values◆ Safety record published◆ Downloads, no gate

Filter the projects, then open one. Sector filtering and the detail view both run inside the screen.

What's included

Procurement is a checklist.
This is the checklist.

Grading, safety record, comparable projects, compliance documents. Miss one and you are off the list before anyone looks at your workmanship.

A project index that filters

Six projects, filterable by sector, each opening to a detail view with contract value, duration and client type. The single most useful page on a contractor's site.

Contract values in the open

Publishing what a job was worth is the fastest way to prove you can handle the next one. Most contractors hide it and lose work they could have won.

The safety record, up front

Lost-time injuries, LTI-free man-hours, on-time completion. Insurers and principal agents look for this before they look at price.

Downloads without a gate

Capability statement, safety file template, CIDB and B-BBEE certificates — one click, no form. Making a QS email you for a company profile costs you tenders.

A tender enquiry form that qualifies

Work type, value band and closing date captured up front, so estimating can make a go/no-go call rather than chase for basics.

Built to be read fast

Monospaced data, hard-edged layout, no decorative motion. It reads like a specification because that is what this audience responds to.

Mobile first

Read on site, in the
sun, with gloves on.

Site staff and agents check these pages from a phone in a bakkie or on a scaffold. High contrast, big tap targets, and a project index that still filters properly on a small screen.

  • ✓Project cards stack cleanlyOne column on a phone, filter chips still work
  • ✓Detail view scrolls, not squeezesSpecifications remain readable at 390px
  • ✓Downloads work on mobile dataSmall files, direct links, no viewer required
  • ✓High contrast for outdoor screensNear-black on concrete, no thin grey type

Four templates, four personalities

Concrete, steel
and hi-vis.

The café is warm, the trades site is urgent, the practice is quiet. This one is hard-edged and industrial — square corners, monospaced data, a single acid-lime accent. Same engineering underneath, a fourth entirely different room.

How it runs

Four steps. About three weeks.

You'll be asked for things twice — once at the start and once at the review. The rest happens without you having to chase anybody.

Conversation

Your grading, your sectors, and the size of job you actually want more of. Usually held in the site office.

Design

Colour, type and layout agreed on a working page — not a flat picture you have to imagine.

Build

Written by hand and tested on real devices. We will index your existing project photography as part of it.

Live

Domain, hosting, email and Google listing. Then a walkthrough so your own team can add each new project.

Next

Contractors, fabricators,
engineers.

Any business that wins work by proving capability rather than charming a customer fits this structure. The sectors change; the QS's checklist does not.

A note on honesty: Bergstone Construction & Civils does not exist. The company, its projects, contract values, safety figures and certificate numbers were invented for this demonstration, and the photographs are AI-generated. The craft is real — this is genuinely the standard of site you would receive.
